Q. We're having a bit of an issue with this weapon...
You roll the die, and kill a zombie martian on 5+ (or 4+ if used by Carl). If successful, you roll again, and kill on 5+(4+). This goes on untill not successfull. and THEN the fight starts normally.
Is this how the weapon is supposed to work?
A. This is correct. And yes, it is quite powerful, especially in the hands of the Strongman.
Q. How does this card work against the Zard beast? If Carl rolls a 5+, the Zard beast gets all his wounds filled. But if the Zard makes its tough roll, the wounds are ignored.
Since Carl rolled a 5+, can he use the hammer again on the Zard? Can this go on until one of them fails their roll?
A. Correct. If the Hammer is successfully used against the Zard Beast, it fills in all of its health boxes with wounds and the Zard Beast gets to roll its Toughness save against each of those wounds. As long as the Hammer 'hit' (by rolling the 5+ or 4+ with Carl), you may roll to 'hit' again. You can continue this until either the Zard Beast is dead or the Hammer misses. At that point, you can conitue on to the actual Fight.
